Sarai Nissan is a Colorado based photographer, painter and model. Nissan is currently working towards a degree in Photography at the University of Colorado Denver. Nissan's photographs are dissected fragments of herself, exposing selective parts of her mind and body. The images that appear are more like vague sentiments or ghostly visions. The essence of herwork is similar to that of a haunting fairy tale or perhaps a nightmare; where the inherent nature of human flesh, of coveting impulse and desire collide with the delirious engagement of objectivity and emotion. Isolations and gestures cast optical spells in an effort to carve ghostliness from humanness and phantasm from entity.
